In summer, Vítkovice is an ideal starting point for trips to the western and central parts of the Krkonoše Mountains. Places like Dvoračky, Rezek, Rovinka, Horní Mísečky, and Zlaté návrší are accessible by bike or on foot.

Cycling: From Vítkovice, several cycling routes of varying difficulty lead out, suitable for both families and experienced cyclists. If you prefer downhill rides, the Aldrov area features natural trails with bike transport provided by the four-seater chairlift, the „Presidential Express.“
Relaxation: Besides sports activities, you can enjoy horseback riding at the nearby Hucul farm or take advantage of wellness services offered by local guesthouses and hotels.

Vítkovice v Krkonoších is the perfect place for a winter holiday, offering something for everyone, whether you’re a family with children, a beginner, or an experienced skier. In the village and its surroundings, there are many recreational and sports activities available during the winter season:

Ski Resort Aldrov: Located at an altitude of 733 meters, it features a four-seater chairlift with red and blue slopes. The resort has a vertical drop of 135 meters and is known as the „Presidential Express“ due to the attendance of President Václav Klaus at its opening. Aldrov is also home to Šárka Záhrobská, a world slalom champion.
Ski Resort Vurmovka: Ideal for families with young children, it offers a friendly environment and easy slopes.
Janova Hora Ski Area: Located at an altitude of 750 meters, it features three lifts, four downhill runs, a children’s lift, snow tubing, and a snow park.
Cross-country skiing: There are groomed cross-country trails and loops near the guesthouse.

Very nicely furnished apartments, nice owners. This is the second time we rented the whole house over the summer as a group of 5 families with children and we can only recommend it. There is a fireplace and smokehouse and lots of activities for the kids. In combination with the nearby brewery Hendrych in Vrchlabí ideal holiday.
